BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) is a professional undergraduate degree in dentistry. It is the only recognized course in India to become a dentist. After completing BDS, graduates can practice as dental surgeons or pursue further studies.
5 years (including 1 year of compulsory internship).
10+2 (Science stream) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB).
Minimum aggregate marks as per university/college requirements (usually 50%).
Admission is based on NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test).
